Maysy Samat has previously completed his Diploma in Social Science at the College of WSU. He is currently undertaking full time studies in a Bachelors of Social Sciences, majoring in Child and Community & sub-majoring in Sociology. Throughout his studies, he has managed to achieve and maintain a 6.0 GPA which has attracted the recognition of the WSU Schools of Social Sciences and Psychology (SSAP), earning a Deans Merit Award in 2017.

He has volunteered for various not-for-profit organisations such as ‘Brothers in Need’ and the ‘Youth off the Streets’ initiatives in Bankstown, which aims to provide social avenues for the youth of the community through free weekly activities and games. Maysy also holds keen interest in the field of social work, which he aims to pursue a career in, following completion of a post-graduate degree.
